bayada is rolling out an ALS training program for home health aides

A new, comprehensive training program to meet the unique needs of people living with ALS

BAYADA Home Health Care is committed to enhancing the lives of people living with ALS by providing the highest quality home health care with compassion, excellence, and reliability. Our partnership with The ALS Association further enhances the care we provide, as they offer guidance and feedback on our clinical programs.

As we continually focus on improving the quality of our care, we are excited to announce the implementation of a new ALS-specific training program to enrich the knowledge and skill level of BAYADA Home Health Aides who care for people with ALS and to improve communication between the families and our staff.

The program focuses on teaching our home health aides about the disease and the unique challenges that people with ALS face with speech and communication, swallowing and nutrition, pain and comfort management, mobility, and respiratory and psychosocial issues. Clients and their families can expect a higher level of specialized case management and care services to meet their needs today and through the progression of the disease.

BAYADA is currently developing a similar training program for nurses as well.
